Responsibilities
- Contribute to infrastructure that scales applications of varying size and complexity.
- Improve performance and reliability across backend services, including efficiency, capacity management, and data tiers.
- Support observability efforts, implement service-level objectives, and surface performance characteristics to users.
- Build and iterate on backbone services supporting billions of requests.
- Contribute to workflow engine and data-tier systems for high-volume ingest, export, and workflows.
- Build foundational services and tools for next-generation cloud infrastructure.
- Participate in triage and on-call processes to diagnose issues and prevent recurrence.
Requirements
- 2+ years of industry experience as a software engineer, preferably at high-growth startups.
- Strong coding skills.
- Understanding of scalable distributed systems and willingness to build proficiency with relevant languages and tools.
- Ownership mindset and initiative in building and fixing systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience contributing to solutions for complex, high-traffic applications.
- Excellent communication and ability to execute priorities.
- Willingness to participate in on-call processes.
Nice-to-haves
- AWS experience.
- Familiarity with Bubble's technology stack and willingness to learn quickly.

- Estimated salary range: $145,000–$187,000.
