Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional team of frontend and backend engineers building core consumer experiences.
- Own end-to-end UX for key features across mobile and client platforms.
- Guide delivery of high-quality consumer applications focused on usability, performance, and scale.
- Partner with Product Managers and Designers to define and deliver high-impact features.
- Collaborate with Engineering Managers and Tech Leads to maintain consistent engineering standards.
- Champion engineering excellence, maintainable architectures, and code quality.
- Mentor engineers and foster technical growth, collaboration, and inclusivity.
- Improve team organization and delivery through agile processes, project tracking, and engineering metrics such as DORA and cycle time.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading engineering teams delivering customer-facing products at scale.
- Experience managing combined frontend and backend engineering teams.
- Deep technical background in React Native and modern frontend architectures.
- Strong cross-functional leadership in complex, multi-platform environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Empathy for customers and passion for intuitive, performant consumer experiences.
- Experience building large-scale consumer or financial products.
Nice-to-haves
- Systems design or distributed architecture experience.
- Working knowledge of Rust or similar languages such as Go or C++.
- Familiarity with asynchronous architectures, APIs, and microservices.
- Experience in payments and card domains.
