- Stay hands-on with design documents, code reviews, and production incidents.
- Set the integration strategy across HL7 v2, FHIR, X12, and UI automation.
- Scale the architecture for increasing referral volume, customer count, and integration count.
- Partner with health system IT, interface analysts, clinical operations leads, and customers with complex workflows.
- Generalize customer workflows into configurable product abstractions rather than one-off implementations.
- Coach engineers toward larger scope and provide direct performance feedback.
Requirements
- Direct experience building and supporting software integrations with at least one major EHR platform.
- Working fluency with HL7 v2 message structure, FHIR resources, interface engines, and site-specific customization.
- Strong full-stack engineering background, including production services and user-facing interfaces.
- At least 1 year of engineering management experience and 5 or more years as an individual-contributor engineer.
- Comfort working with ambiguous requirements derived from real operational workflows.
- Experience building products for multiple customers and making scalable product-versus-customization tradeoffs.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with document AI or OCR pipelines at scale.
- Experience with voice agents or telephony infrastructure, including SIP, IVR navigation, or real-time speech.
- Background in referral management, prior authorization, care coordination, or revenue cycle.
- Experience selling and supporting products for large health systems, including security reviews and integration onboarding.
