Forward Deployed Engineer
Forward Deployed Engineers lead end-to-end production deployments of SnapLogic's enterprise AI agent platform (Jean-Paul) with strategic customers. They own technical scoping, connectivity, context layers, and adoption expansion while feeding field learnings back to Product.

What You'll Do
- Lead complex end-to-end deployments of Jean-Paul (enterprise AI agent platform) in production with earliest strategic customers.
- Own discovery, technical scoping, connectivity, and rollout; partner with customer's engineering and business teams.
- Measure success through production adoption, measurable workflow impact, and field feedback that influences product direction.
- Teach and enable customer's own users to build skills, context, and connections so use cases continue without you.
- Expand adoption across adjacent business functions by identifying wins, seeding champions, and turning results into internal stories.
- Map each customer's unique tools, processes, and pain points; run discovery like a business analyst to surface and prioritize high-value use cases.
- Own technical landing: deploy into novel environments (customer VPCs, on-prem Docker, behind proxies/firewalls); configure SSO, AI providers (Bedrock, Vertex, Azure Foundry, Anthropic), and first MCP connections.
- Overcome enterprise connectivity challenges (OAuth, redirect-URI allowlists, bot registrations, mail routing, egress policies); build and document custom MCP servers and context layers.
- Advise honestly on when JP is or isn't the right solution; propose alternatives or combinations.
- Handle complex use cases directly then convert them into repeatable patterns for the customer's team.
- Close the loop with Product, Engineering, Security, and GTM teams; contribute field-driven insights and optionally TypeScript code on the Claude Agent SDK.
You Might Thrive In This Role If You
- Bring 5+ years of hands-on engineering or technical deployment experience, including infrastructure (Linux, Docker, networking, major cloud provider, enterprise SSO/OAuth).
- Have built or deployed LLM/agent-powered systems and understand how model behavior impacts user experience.
- Know the difference between a connected system and a usable one; have judgment to build trustworthy context layers.
- Are comfortable with ambiguous stakeholders and no spec; can surface unarticulated future states.
- Have made other people better at something technical.
- Are comfortable being first and writing the runbook.
