Product Designer

Design cohesive financial-product experiences across customer-facing interfaces, developer tools, operational workflows, and internal systems. The role requires strong product reasoning, visual craft, clear communication, technical curiosity, and comfort using AI to prototype and build.

Responsibilities

  • Design embeddable components and flows for web and mobile financial products, from individual experiences such as account opening, disputes, and payments through end-to-end products.
  • Turn customer interactions into a product by designing documentation, communications, onboarding, support tooling, and ongoing collaboration experiences.
  • Partner with Sales on prototypes, demos, website experiences, decks, and other storytelling materials.
  • Partner with Engineering to create a strong developer experience through integration guides, reference examples, and implementation playbooks.
  • Embed with Support, Compliance, Fraud, Disputes, or Operations to understand workflows and design customer touchpoints, communications, processes, internal tools, and complete systems.
  • Use AI to prototype, build, and iterate on products, workflows, and systems.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Compliance, and operational teams from problem definition through implementation.

Requirements

  • Strong product reasoning, including judgment about when to provide flexibility and when to establish clear product direction.
  • Clear writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas simply.
  • Ability to learn complex domains quickly and move between different modes of work.
  • Technical curiosity and attention to developer experience, including language and concepts.
  • Exceptional visual design craft.
  • Demonstrated work such as shipped products, prototypes, system diagrams, documentation, workflows, or design files.
  • Interest in using AI to develop new design workflows and playbooks.
  • Experience with tools such as Cursor, Codex, or Claude Code.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual starting salary: $175,000–$275,000, plus equity and benefits.
