General Manager

Responsibilities

• Build the India delivery hub's organisation, structure, and culture, with the goal of scaling to several hundred people.
• Translate company priorities into concrete plans, clear ownership, and operational discipline across the India function.
• Establish planning cycles, performance cadences, and leadership check-ins for a fast-scaling team.
• Identify and resolve process gaps, capacity constraints, and structural friction with scalable solutions.
• Set a high talent bar, make hiring decisions, and ensure exceptional people join the India team.
• Build Encord's employer brand and make the company a destination for top talent in India.
• Create a durable culture where people can do the best work of their careers.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of general management or site leadership experience.
• Strong consulting foundation; experience at Project Leader, Engagement Manager, or Principal level is benchmarked.
• Experience building teams in a high-growth or operationally complex environment.
• Deep understanding of the local talent market and ability to build a competitive employer brand.
• Global mindset and ability to bring rigorous business standards and culture to the team.
• Exceptional people judgment, including recruiting for excellence and protecting culture as the team scales.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and shaping new operating models.
• Ability to operate as an owner, execute independently, influence without authority, maintain high quality standards, and build for the long term.
