Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering Directors, and Principal Architects to translate strategic business objectives into technical roadmaps.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, and QA to deliver critical engineering initiatives.
- Lead the design and implementation of new features and services from conception through deployment.
- Mentor Staff and Senior engineers, guide technical design reviews, and raise engineering standards across the organization.
- Establish rigorous code standards, comprehensive automated testing, modern CI/CD pipelines, and architectural best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and foster knowledge sharing.
- Use AI coding assistants to accelerate delivery.
- Identify emerging trends in device security and AI-native development, and prototype solutions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive software development experience designing and building Windows features.
- Strong experience with C++, C#, and the .NET framework.
- Deep expertise in Windows software environments, including design, performance optimization, and security.
- Advanced debugging and performance optimization experience in Windows environments.
- Knowledge of the Win32 API, inter-process communication (IPC), Windows services, and secure credential handling.
- Experience with agile development, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical direction.
- Proficiency with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot.
- Conceptual understanding of Windows security features.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Cryptography, endpoint security, Trusted Platform Module (TPM), device management/MDM protocols, or endpoint detection experience.
- Knowledge of identity and access management protocols such as FIDO, OIDC, and OAuth.
- Cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
- CISSP or Security+ certification.
