Leads cross-functional engineering initiatives from intake through delivery, translating strategic priorities into executable plans, removing blockers, and improving visibility across product and engineering pods. Responsibilities
- Represent Engineering during early intake and cross-functional triage meetings.
- Route urgent requests from leadership decisions through engineering Jira boards.
- Track dependencies with Operations and Product teams and follow initiatives through completion.
- Help drive the architectural transition from a monolith to services while supporting consistent product responses across BUILDER and OPERATOR interfaces.
- Coordinate engineering audits, including service resiliency questionnaires.
- Identify single points of failure and proactively flag business risks to leadership.
- Build, maintain, and scale engineering visibility dashboards for executive insights into product health and team velocity.
- Clarify ownership and alignment across 15+ product pods and support complex service rollouts.
- Promote and maintain company values of humility, passion, inclusion, and leadership.
- Continue learning about the company’s products and markets through internal and external training.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of software architecture concepts, including monoliths, microservices, API versioning, and data flows.
- Ability to discuss technical requirements with individual contributors, architects, and engineering managers.
- Proven ability to turn strategic vision or high-level meeting notes into structured, trackable project plans.
- Deep familiarity with Jira and workflows spanning high-level planning boards and team-level engineering boards.
- Ability to build cross-functional alignment and clarify ownership without formal authority.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and remove bottlenecks.
- Experience in high-growth or pre-IPO technology companies.
Compensation and Benefits
- Metro 2 salary range: $190,000–$220,000.
- Metro 3 salary range: $175,000–$205,000.
