Responsibilities
- Work across the organization to understand infrastructure-usage pain points, identify common opportunities, and create solutions spanning multiple domains.
- Define and produce high-quality proposals, communications, documentation, plans, and technical program materials.
- Execute technical programs requiring deep systems and engineering knowledge.
- Partner with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and Technical Program Managers to define, scope, and drive large programs through completion.
- Help shape technical designs, anticipate technical roadblocks, and identify trade-offs in collaboration with engineers.
- Develop, implement, and iterate on program-management techniques, frameworks, KPIs, and success criteria.
- Improve engineering-team delivery practices and train teams on effective execution.
- Influence peers and stakeholders, build consensus, and operate effectively amid ambiguity.
- Use data and acquired knowledge to support strategic decisions at the engineering-leadership level.
- Operationalize and execute critical cross-functional programs spanning Core Infrastructure organizations, including Compute, Networking, Database, and Services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in Technical Program Management or a related field, including at least 5 years of progressive post-bachelor's experience.
- 8 years of experience with distributed systems, Service-Oriented Architecture, software-development lifecycle program management, cross-team process improvement, and large-scale cross-functional initiatives.
- 6 years of experience in core infrastructure, including databases, cloud compute, networking, and services.
- 4 years of experience with SQL.
- 3 years of experience with data analysis, cloud infrastructure, and developer productivity or developer experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $174,637.00–$260,200.00 per year.
- Additional benefits may include equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, 401(k), medical, dental, vision, and wellness stipends.
- 40 hours per week.
- 100% telecommuting permitted.
