Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own full-stack features and platform primitives used by internal teams, partners, and customers.
- Deploy, operate, support, and maintain integrations in Vanta Government Cloud, including monitoring, on-call and incident response, and change management within the GovCloud boundary.
- Contribute to authentication, data-ingestion, and schema-evolution services.
- Partner with federal subject-matter experts to implement and maintain continuous-monitoring detectors and automated tests with versioned framework mappings.
- Build secure, well-documented, scalable services and user interfaces.
- Improve performance, operational excellence, and software development lifecycle practices.
- Use AI tools and workflows to accelerate development and operations.
Requirements
- 6+ years of full-stack development experience building reliable, scalable, fault-tolerant systems.
- Experience designing platforms and APIs, including RESTful APIs, authentication protocols, and reusable components.
- Knowledge of OAuth, API keys, JWT, and security best practices.
- Experience building data ingestion from external systems using rate limiting, retries, idempotency, and webhooks.
- Strong systems thinking, including designing for scale, reliability, failure modes, edge cases, and risk mitigation.
- Experience collaborating with internal teams, federal agency employees, vendors, and Third-Party Assessment Organizations.
- Interest in security or compliance and building trustworthy systems in regulated environments.
- Willingness to use AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
- Must reside in and perform all work exclusively from within the United States.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and FISMA.
- Experience building or operating in government or regulated cloud environments, such as AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or Google Cloud environments.
- Experience in startup or bias-for-action environments.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $195,000–$229,000 annually.
