Responsibilities
- Build end-to-end AI agents that automate scientific work, from experiment design through data analysis and reporting.
- Work directly with customers to identify use cases, gather feedback, build evaluations, and onboard scientific teams.
- Engineer across the stack, developing LLM-powered primitives and intuitive user interfaces within scientific applications.
- Improve the agent platform, including frameworks, tooling, and infrastructure that accelerate future development.
- Drive experimentation, contribute to technical direction, and help evolve engineering and product development practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building and maintaining production systems.
- Full-stack experience with backend systems using Python or similar languages and modern frontend frameworks such as React.
- Strong product sense and ability to iterate based on user feedback and data.
- Interest in LLMs, AI agents, and applying them to scientific research.
- Collaborative approach across engineering, product, and scientific teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and rapid experimentation.
- Willingness to learn biotechnology.
Work Arrangement
- In-person role in San Francisco, Monday through Friday.
