Forward Deployed Engineer, Infrastructure Specialist
Deploy and integrate Cohere’s North AI workspace for enterprise customers across private-cloud and on-premises environments. The role requires production Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, networking, virtualization, customer-facing delivery, and fluent French, with 20–40% travel.

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end deployment of North in private-cloud and on-premises environments, including planning, configuration, testing, and rollout.
- Partner with enterprise IT teams to assess infrastructure, security requirements, and data-management practices.
- Experiment rapidly while maintaining a high level of quality to engage customers and deliver solutions that exceed expectations.
- Design and implement deployment strategies tailored to client needs, ensuring compliance with data-privacy and security standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment-related technical issues, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
- Travel 20–40% to work on-site with customers and partners.
Requirements
- Experience working directly with customers.
- Experience deploying enterprise software in private- or hybrid-cloud environments.
- Proven experience administering large-scale production Kubernetes clusters.
- Expertise with Helm.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Git for version control.
- Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, networking, and virtualization.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Ability to execute effectively in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
- Fluency in French.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with GPU node orchestration and scheduling.
- Understanding of the intersection of GPU infrastructure, inference systems, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and performance optimization.
