Lead, Driver
Leads a driver team while personally handling commercial transport, loading, unloading, documentation, and material movements supporting data center construction and operations. Requires a Class A CDL, at least three years of commercial driving experience, and prior driving leadership experience.

Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of drivers; assign routes, provide training, and ensure safe execution of transport activities.
- Load, drive, and unload materials using commercial vehicles, including tractors, trailers, vans, and flatbeds, while meeting federal, state, and local transportation requirements.
- Safely load and unload trucks, primarily using forklifts, and secure loads for damage-free delivery.
- Scan barcodes and transact material movements in WMS/ERP systems to meet inventory and receiving requirements.
- Take route direction from logistics leadership and promptly communicate issues, delays, and exceptions.
- Maintain and review delivery documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor vehicle condition, service records, cleanliness, and fueling; report problems immediately.
- Operate Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and maintain a safe driving record.
- Support receiving, material handling, and inventory operations as needed.
- Drive process improvements for efficiency, safety, and on-time delivery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- 3+ years of commercial driving experience; short-haul experience required and long-haul preferred.
- At least 1 year in a lead, senior, or supervisory driving capacity.
- Willingness to work long hours, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in warehouse and outdoor environments with varying temperatures, noise, and dust.
- Clean driving record and compliance with DOT and company safety policies.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in expediting, material handling, or high-volume manufacturing or data center logistics.
- Experience with barcode scanning and ERP/WMS systems.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Experience transporting high-value or sensitive equipment.
- Hazardous Materials Endorsement (HME), or ability to obtain one.
- Strong organizational, time-management, communication, leadership, safety, and compliance skills.
