Responsibilities
- Lead technical consulting engagements with biotechnology IT professionals to understand their IT landscapes, including scientific and informatics software and instruments, and recommend how Benchling can support their informatics vision.
- Design, prototype, and oversee delivery of cloud-based integrations and automations using Benchling’s developer platform.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to communicate customer feedback and align solutions with the product roadmap and available features.
- Collaborate with project and implementation managers on complex enterprise rollouts, identifying technical risks and product gaps and designing mitigations.
- Build and deliver demos and proofs of concept to align stakeholders on proposed solutions.
- Contribute industry and project expertise to technical documentation and the developer platform roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering, or computer science.
- 5+ years of client-facing software implementation and/or consulting experience, including successful enterprise-scale SaaS projects.
- Experience using REST APIs and Python to design and build integration demonstrations and share example code with customer developers.
- Technical leadership and conceptual modeling skills, with the ability to turn complex concepts into technical assets.
- Familiarity with modern cloud software development processes, tools, and architectures.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including presenting complex technical solutions to diverse audiences.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites up to 10–20% as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary: $154,000–$209,000.
- Flexible hybrid work arrangement with in-office collaboration expected three days per week: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
