Enterprise Account Executive - Public Sector
Own and expand Databricks’ strategic public-sector enterprise business across Ireland, managing inherited government accounts while creating new opportunities. The role requires proven enterprise sales success, Irish public-sector knowledge, consumption-based selling experience, and senior stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities
- Build and execute an Ireland-wide public-sector go-to-market plan covering government agendas, departments, agencies, use cases, partners, and routes to market.
- Own and expand an existing portfolio of Irish Government strategic accounts and increase usage of the Databricks Intelligence Platform.
- Identify net-new opportunities across departments and agencies in partnership with the growth team.
- Translate national and departmental priorities into Data and AI value propositions, executive conversations, business cases, and qualified opportunities.
- Map buying centers, build champions, guide opportunities, and shorten decision cycles.
- Run consumption-led sales motions using demand plans to prioritize high-value use cases and grow usage over time.
- Manage quick-win and complex public-sector sales cycles simultaneously.
- Build renewal and expansion motions within existing accounts.
- Coordinate professional services, training, systems integrators, hyperscaler co-sell teams, and other internal and partner resources.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior government stakeholders and deliver technical and business outcomes.
Requirements
- Strong record of quota attainment or over-achievement selling to public-sector accounts, ideally in Ireland or a comparable market.
- Experience building territory- or market-level go-to-market strategies, creating demand, and driving growth beyond an existing account base.
- Experience managing inherited strategic account portfolios while developing new relationships.
- Working knowledge of Irish Government structures, priorities, procurement frameworks, and public-sector technology funding and approval processes.
- Enterprise sales experience in cloud software, data platforms, open-source technology, Data and AI, or related technology markets.
- Experience with usage-based or consumption-based models and co-selling with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Ability to run land-and-expand and greenfield business-development motions.
- Ability to identify use cases and buying centers across organizations.
- Experience developing business cases and engaging C-level executives and senior civil-service stakeholders.
- Experience building champions, account teams, and strategic partnerships.
- Experience with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Value Selling, with disciplined forecasting.
- Eligibility for security clearance; existing clearance is advantageous.
