Content Maintenance Specialist - Generative AI

Maintains and modernizes generative AI course content, exercises, workspaces, and projects while resolving learner-reported issues. Requires at least two years of Python software development experience and hands-on experience with LLM frameworks, model APIs, vector databases, and RAG pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze course performance metrics to identify content requiring updates.
  • Review student feedback at scale to prioritize actionable improvements.
  • Update classroom instructions to address breaking changes in libraries such as LangChain, the OpenAI SDK, and Hugging Face.
  • Fix bugs and resolve student-reported issues, including token-limit problems and deprecated APIs.
  • Update course text, screenshots, instructions, tutorials, exercises, and projects to reflect current tools and technologies.
  • Update Udacity Workspaces using the self-service Studio tool.
  • Install updated Python packages in existing workspaces.
  • Update exercises and project starter code for newer programming environments, including upgrades from Python 3.6 to Python 3.12.
  • Test workspaces and verify that exercises and projects function as intended.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Python.
  • Experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex.
  • Hands-on experience with model APIs including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, and Amazon Bedrock.
  • Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, ChromaDB, and Weaviate.
  • Experience building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
  • Knowledge of agentic frameworks such as LangGraph.
  • At least 2 years of professional software development experience in Python.
  • Experience with Git and GitHub.
  • Ability to debug and update Python-based exercises and projects.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written communication for documenting changes and providing clear instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a student-first mindset.
