Responsibilities
- Build backend infrastructure for the Databricks platform at scale.
- Develop foundational infrastructure platforms supporting operation across geographic regions and cloud providers.
- Implement cloud-agnostic infrastructure abstractions for managing and operating services.
- Develop tools and processes that improve engineering efficiency and developer experience, including programming-language tooling, linters, static analysis, IDEs, remote development environments, automated release pipelines, and test automation frameworks.
- Contribute across project phases, including design, development, implementation, and ongoing operations.
- Produce clear technical documentation to support alignment and decision-making.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software development experience, or a PhD degree.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, Scala, or Go.
- Hands-on experience developing and operating backend systems.
- Strong collaboration, written communication, and verbal communication skills.

- Experience optimizing Rust development workflows and tooling.
