Responsibilities
- Design and improve the core orchestration engine managing the lifecycle of creating, merging, and rebasing Supabase Branches.
- Provision ephemeral, sandboxed execution environments on EKS and ECS for untrusted build workloads from connected Git repositories, with securely managed secrets.
- Implement job scheduling for thousands of concurrent builds.
- Optimize pipeline runtimes through caching, artifact storage, and dependency reuse.
- Manage retry, timeout, cancellation, and failure-propagation logic for predictable pipeline behavior.
- Instrument the full pipeline lifecycle with observability tooling, including traces, metrics, and structured logs.
- Develop JSON and TOML configuration files and Terraform and Pulumi integrations for defining, triggering, and inspecting pipelines as code.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering skills; Go and TypeScript are required.
- 3+ years of experience building and operating cloud infrastructure or distributed systems at scale.
- Cloud infrastructure knowledge, including familiarity with AWS constructs.
- Production operations mindset and experience building reliable, observable, and maintainable systems.
- Ability to operate independently with high-level guidance.
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in asynchronous or globally distributed teams.
- Comfort solving real-world developer problems, navigating ambiguity, and moving quickly.
Nice to Have
- Experience using AWS SDKs.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Pulumi and Terraform.
