GTM Engineer - Data & Attribution
Own the go-to-market data and attribution infrastructure, integrating marketing and sales platforms into reliable pipelines, attribution models, and executive dashboards. Responsibilities
- Design, build, manage, and document BigQuery data pipelines integrating HubSpot, Dreamdata, Google Ads, LinkedIn, PostHog, and website data.
- Maintain expertise in browser behavior, cookies, JavaScript, tracking pixels, data layers, and server-side Google Tag Manager.
- Investigate discrepancies between marketing and sales platforms and explain their causes to stakeholders.
- Configure and refine Dreamdata to model the journey from anonymous visitor through closed-won revenue.
- Use attribution insights to inform channel and budget decisions with sales and marketing.
- Build and maintain executive-facing Looker or Looker Studio dashboards covering spend, leads, meetings, pipeline, and closed-won revenue.
- Design and run account-based marketing programs using Clay for enrichment, scoring, firmographic, intent, and behavioral signals.
- Use AI to personalize outbound messaging at scale.
- Apply experimentation, hypothesis testing, and funnel analysis to improve channel performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in GTM operations, revenue operations, marketing operations, or analytics engineering at a B2B SaaS company.
- Hands-on ownership of marketing and sales data infrastructure.
- Strong SQL and experience building and maintaining BigQuery or comparable data warehouse pipelines.
- Deep understanding of browsers, cookies, JavaScript, tracking pixels, and cross-platform tracking discrepancies.
- Hands-on Google Tag Manager experience, including server-side GTM and data layer configuration.
- Experience with Dreamdata or a comparable B2B attribution platform such as Bizible or HubSpot Attribution.
- Hands-on HubSpot experience across CRM, Marketing Hub, and Operations Hub, including workflows, custom objects, and data synchronization.
- Proficiency building dashboards with Looker, Looker Studio, Tableau, or a similar BI tool.
- Working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and data integration patterns.
- Understanding of B2B SaaS funnels, buyer journeys, and metrics including MQL, SQL, pipeline, win rate, CAC, and LTV.
- Experience designing UTM strategies and multi-touch attribution models.
- Understanding of ABM, ICP definition, account scoring, and personalized outbound.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience as the first or only data or operations hire at an early-stage startup.
- Clay experience, including workflows, enrichment, AI columns, or Claygent.
- Python scripting for data manipulation and automation.
- PostHog or similar product analytics experience.
- Familiarity with reverse ETL and data warehousing concepts.
- HubSpot Revenue Operations, Marketing Hub, or Operations Hub certifications.
- Google Ads campaign management and conversion optimization experience.
Compensation and Benefits
- US national baseline salary range: $100,000–$160,000 base salary.
