User Experience Researcher, Platform
Senior individual-contributor UX researcher who leads mixed-method studies for Anthropic’s developer platform, translating insights from developers, enterprises, and buyers into product and strategy decisions. Requires technical-product research experience, strong stakeholder influence, and hands-on AI use for research and tooling.

Responsibilities
- Partner with Platform leaders and teams to identify high-value research questions and own the research agenda.
- Design, conduct, and report end-to-end studies using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Research developers, organizations building products on the platform, and buyers and administrators.
- Communicate findings to product managers, designers, and engineers, and connect research to product and strategic decisions.
- Build research tools and infrastructure that enable fast, rigorous research, using AI extensively and developing new methods where needed.
Requirements
- Industry UX research experience independently scoping, designing, conducting, and reporting end-to-end studies.
- Expertise in mixed methods, including interviewing technical users and designing and analyzing surveys.
- Technical background through software engineering, developer-experience research involving APIs, SDKs, or developer tools, or research on deeply technical products.
- Ability to read technical documentation, build small platform projects, and collaborate effectively with highly technical teams.
- Hands-on use of AI for research analysis and tooling.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.
Nice-to-haves
- 8+ years of industry UX research experience.
- Experience setting research strategy and influencing product or organizational direction.
- Experience working with engineering-led teams and influencing stakeholders from individual engineers to organizational leaders.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills for technical and executive audiences.
- Experience building with AI using coding tools and agents.
- Experience researching pricing, packaging, customer value, usage-based products, or developer products.
- API ecosystem or developer-platform research experience.
Compensation
- Annual salary: $305,000–$385,000 USD.
- Hybrid policy requiring staff to work from an office at least 25% of the time.
