Responsibilities
- Lead foundational, generative, and evaluative research informing strategy for Reddit’s consumer product experiences.
- Investigate user behaviors, motivations, and needs across discovery, consumption, engagement, and contribution experiences.
- Design and conduct qualitative research, including interviews, usability studies, concept testing, and diary studies.
- Integrate qualitative insights with quantitative data, surveys, experimentation, behavioral signals, and product metrics.
- Partner with product, design, engineering, data science, and cross-functional teams to shape roadmaps and product direction.
- Communicate findings through clear narratives, actionable recommendations, and compelling storytelling for partners and leadership.
- Identify research opportunities and connect user insights to product impact.
Requirements
- Master’s degree, Ph.D., or equivalent experience in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Sociology, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 6+ years of consumer-focused UX research experience, preferably as an embedded product researcher.
- Deep expertise in qualitative research methods.
- Fluency with mixed-methods research and quantitative data.
- Experience influencing product strategy and driving product or user-experience impact through research.
- Strong product sense and comfort with engagement metrics, experimentation, tradeoffs, and ambiguous product questions.
- Excellent communication, synthesis, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs.

- Base salary range: $167,500–$234,500 USD.
