Senior UX Researcher - Patient
Leads autonomous qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research to improve the patient journey from healthcare discovery through first-session attendance. Partners with Product, Design, Data/Analytics, and Marketing to turn patient insights into measurable acquisition, onboarding, conversion, and experience improvements.

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end UX research focused on the patient journey from discovering mental healthcare through booking and attending a first session.
- Identify opportunities, frame ambiguous product questions, and translate patient insights and behavioral data into recommendations that shape product decisions, testing, and prioritization.
- Select and apply appropriate qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods approaches.
- Build and lead research programs independently, including opportunity identification, problem framing, execution, synthesis, and stakeholder influence.
- Research and improve acquisition, onboarding, activation, conversion, and other critical product journeys.
- Deliver rigorous research quickly while making sound tradeoffs around methodology, sample size, depth, and timelines.
- Partner with Product, Design, Data/Analytics, Marketing, and other stakeholders to drive measurable improvements in the patient experience.
- Synthesize complex findings into clear narratives for varied audiences, including senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of UX Research experience.
- Demonstrated strength in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research.
- Ability to independently identify research opportunities and lead studies from planning through influencing product decisions.
- Experience translating research into measurable product impact.
- Strong strategic problem-framing, cross-functional collaboration, communication, and stakeholder-influence skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience researching multi-sided marketplaces serving consumers and professionals.
- Experience across connected mobile and web product surfaces.
- Experience owning longitudinal or ongoing measurement programs, such as trust, satisfaction, or experience tracking.
- Experience partnering with product, design, or marketing teams on acquisition and conversion.
- Background in healthcare, mental health, or another sensitive product domain.
- Experience with products where trust, confidence, or risk influence user behavior.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $166,000–$203,000.
- Fully remote work environment for employees based in the United States; Hawaii is currently excluded.
