Responsibilities
- Set the user research agenda and multi-quarter roadmap for enterprise and AI-powered identity initiatives.
- Prioritize research requests, protect capacity for high-leverage work, and track insights through shipped outcomes.
- Represent research evidence in product planning and roadmap discussions.
- Hire, manage, coach, and scale a team of researchers and research managers.
- Build scalable Research Operations covering infrastructure, recruiting, panels, tooling, repositories, and methodology standards.
- Lead AI-assisted synthesis, transcription, rapid analysis, and validation workflows while maintaining research rigor.
- Establish fast, rigorous validation methods, including in-context testing, rapid usability studies, and lightweight quantitative research.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design leadership to embed research early in major initiatives.
- Present findings and business implications to executives and, when relevant, customers.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of user research experience.
- 5+ years leading and developing research teams.
- Experience in enterprise B2B SaaS is preferred.
- Track record of research directly shaping product and roadmap decisions.
- Deep fluency in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Experience owning or closely partnering with Research Operations.
- Experience adopting AI-assisted research and synthesis workflows.
- Strong executive presence and communication skills.
- Experience partnering with Product and Engineering leadership on cross-functional planning.
- Ability to build, coach, and scale research teams, including player-coach managers.
- High integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information.
