Responsibilities
- Execute the strategic vision for the Enterprise Architecture practice under leadership guidance.
- Collaborate with domain architects, engineers, and leaders to develop technical standards, reference architectures, design patterns, opinion papers, and architecture decision frameworks for multi-platform technology solutions.
- Develop and manage technical strategy and coordinate adoption across system design, infrastructure integrations, application development, and runtime principles.
- Manage the architecture review process, including validation checklists, architectural artifact reviews, and domain-specific guidance.
- Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions leveraging the Salesforce platform.
- Design and develop end-to-end solutions for complex business problems.
- Apply architectural and engineering concepts addressing scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability, and manageability.
- Manage technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration for Salesforce implementations.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Salesforce technical strategy covering architecture, development, integration, and maintenance.
- Research emerging technologies and implementation toolkits, develop proofs of concept, and recommend robust, cost-effective technologies.
- Drive adoption of design patterns and standard solution-design and development processes.
- Produce target-state solution architectures, conduct architectural assessments and gap analyses, and shape solution strategies and roadmaps.
- Partner with data architects on data integrity, security, and compliance.
- Partner with integration architects on integration strategies and data flow across systems.
- Ensure individual solutions align with overall enterprise architecture.
- Collaborate with business leaders on business capability models and technology alignment.
- Foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the enterprise architecture discipline.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a senior domain architect or senior enterprise architect.
- Experience as a Principal Salesforce Architect in a global organization using Salesforce Connected Apps and AppExchange applications.
- Experience designing and delivering complex B2B SaaS Salesforce solutions.
- Leadership of at least two large-scale Product-to-Cash (CPQ/RCA) implementations from design through go-live.
- 5+ years defining Salesforce architecture across quoting, contracting, fulfillment, billing, revenue, customer success, and customer support.
- Experience planning and leading architecture delivery for large-scale business and systems transformation programs.
- Track record leading large-scale Salesforce initiatives from concept through delivery.
- Deep understanding of the Salesforce architecture capabilities and ecosystem, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Community Cloud or SuccessFactors.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- 5 years of hands-on enterprise architecture framework experience, such as TOGAF, C4, or ArchiMate.
- Experience with data architecture, application or solution architecture, integration, risk management, and technology standards.
- Strong understanding of security architecture principles and practices.
- Experience in business capability modeling and translating business needs into technology solutions.
Nice to Have
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Application Architect, or System Architect certification.
- Familiarity with managed packages such as Gong, DocuSign CLM, Kantata, Gainsight, Showpad, Qualtrics, or similar enterprise applications.
- Experience using generative AI code assistants such as GitHub Copilot.
- Knowledge of current generative AI model capabilities.
