Technical Lead, Patient Experience

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction and mobile development strategy for patient-facing applications.
• Prototype and ship features across patient mobile and web apps in collaboration with product and design.
• Help shape product direction for patient engagement and retention during the first month of care.
• Engage directly with patients and partner with product, design, and clinical teams to translate needs into features.
• Mentor junior engineers and raise engineering standards across the team.
• Define architecture patterns, technical standards, and development practices for patient-facing products.

Requirements

• Deep experience building and shipping consumer or patient-facing mobile, web, or both types of products.
• Experience serving as a technical lead, setting architecture direction, and mentoring engineers.
• Comfortable working across the full stack in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Strong focus on building high-quality user experiences.
• Familiarity with LLM coding agents and using AI tools to increase engineering impact.
• Collaborative approach with product and design teams.

Nice-to-haves

• React Native or other cross-platform mobile development experience.
• Experience in healthcare, wellness, or other high-trust consumer domains.
• Experience with engagement, retention, or onboarding flows.
• Prior AI/ML or agent-based systems experience.

• Base salary: $220,000–$260,000 annually.
