Responsibilities
- Build tools, APIs, and platform experiences that help customers connect Notion with external apps, data, and workflows.
- Evolve Developer Platform capabilities across APIs, MCP tools, and integration infrastructure.
- Enable customers to automate workflows, customize Notion, and connect it to the tools and data they use every day.
- Contribute to the performance, reliability, and robustness of Notion as it scales.
- Partner with engineering leaders on high-leverage technical investments for flexible and sustainable core systems.
- Collaborate with product, design, data science, and user research partners to define strategy and drive execution from conception through maintenance.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience shipping production software, with a strong record of owning features end-to-end.
- Fluency with TypeScript across backend and frontend development.
- Strong product instincts and ability to turn ambiguous problems into effective technical approaches.
- Curiosity about AI tools and willingness to adopt them to improve productivity and results.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience building developer tools such as APIs and SDKs.
- Experience driving teams toward shared goals while balancing business priorities and individual strengths, interests, and career development.
- Familiarity with AI or agent tooling, evaluations, or LLM-driven product experiences.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits.
- Estimated base salary range for roles based in San Francisco or New York City: $213,000–$320,000 per year.
