Responsibilities
- Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers.
- Demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from demos and proofs of concept through design and implementation.
- Maintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors, and position Snowflake accordingly.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake’s products and marketing.
- Build mutual trust with technical audiences on the customer side.
- Run training sessions, workshops, and webinars to help customers become proficient in Snowflake.
- Keep customers informed about product updates and future roadmaps.
- Run technical enablement programs and solution design workshops focused on best practices.
- Create and develop technical champions within accounts to drive Snowflake adoption.
- Represent Snowflake at customer and industry events.
- Share customer success stories and case studies to demonstrate Snowflake’s impact.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in customer-facing solution engineering or technical sales, preferably with large global accounts.
- University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong competency with modern data stacks, ETL/ELT, data warehouses and lakes, data science, and data applications.
- Excellent presentation skills for technical and executive audiences, including public events, whiteboarding, presentations, and demos.
- Hands-on expertise with SQL and Python.
- Experience working with large global accounts, GSIs, and/or Global Capability Centers.
- Industry experience in BFSI, manufacturing, technology, or HCLS.
- Experience with large-scale database technologies such as Netezza, Exadata, Teradata, Greenplum, or Hadoop.
- Presales experience with data-related technology products.
- Strong understanding of the enterprise market and technology ecosystem.
Nice to have
- Data science, AI, or machine learning experience across multiple platforms.
- Familiarity with BI and data exploration tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Metabase.
- Prior Snowflake experience.
- Cloud provider experience with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Data modeling and data architecture experience.
- Experience selling enterprise SaaS software to global accounts.
