Staff Full Stack Engineer
Leads architecture, technical strategy, and quality standards for a secure core web platform spanning Go backend and React/TypeScript frontend. The role requires staff-level full-stack experience, distributed systems expertise, strong API and database skills, and the ability to influence and mentor across teams.

Responsibilities
- Define and drive technical architecture and roadmap for the core web platform across multiple engineering teams.
- Set organization-wide standards for AI-agentic engineering workflows, including tools such as Claude Code and Cursor, while maintaining accountability for correctness, security, and design decisions.
- Lead internal tooling and testing infrastructure strategy.
- Own testing strategy and quality standards across frontend and backend systems.
- Drive REST and WebSocket API architectural decisions using strong networking fundamentals.
- Partner with security, compliance, and product leadership on technical initiatives for government and enterprise customers.
- Mentor senior engineers and influence technical direction across the organization.
- Contribute to and help shape the open-source codebase.
Requirements
- Senior full-stack development experience with Go and React, or a comparable technology stack.
- Track record of owning complex software systems end to end.
- Experience designing and owning distributed systems or highly available service architectures at scale.
- Experience designing and consuming REST and WebSocket APIs.
- Strong networking fundamentals.
- Relational database experience, including PostgreSQL, schema design, and query optimization.
- Daily fluency directing AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot for scaffolding, refactoring, code review, and test generation.
- Ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams without formal authority.
- Experience mentoring senior engineers and raising technical standards across a broader team.
- Comfort working in regulated or high-compliance environments.
Nice to Have
- Staff, principal, or technical lead experience.
- Experience maintaining an open-source project.
- Familiarity with FedRAMP, ITAR, or other compliance frameworks relevant to defense and government customers.
- Experience scaling engineering practices or standards across a growing organization.
- Background in defense, intelligence, or critical infrastructure products.
- Experience building tools, skills, or workflows around AI coding agents, including MCP servers, agent skills, or CI-integrated agents.
Compensation
- Target salary range: $172,724–$227,135 USD.
