Senior Account Executive - Credit & Lending Products

Owns self-sourced, complex sales cycles for Mercury’s working-capital products, partnering with founders, finance teams, and underwriting to structure and close credit deals for high-growth businesses. Requires at least three years of quota-carrying experience selling lending or capital products.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from self-sourced pipeline to close, selling working capital products, including term loans and rolling lines, to high-growth brands generating $20M-$500M in annual revenue.
  • Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline through self-prospecting, outbound campaigns, and strategic networking.
  • Run deep discovery to understand business growth trajectories, cash flow patterns, and capital needs; work with underwriting to structure compelling, credit-sound offers for complex, high-value deals.
  • Build consensus across underwriting and executive leadership to move deals forward while maintaining credit quality.
  • Manage long, multi-stakeholder deal cycles involving founders, CFOs, and existing lenders or banking relationships.
  • Negotiate deal terms that balance business growth ambitions with credit discipline.
  • Expand relationships into additional products, including banking, credit card, and treasury services.
  • Share market and customer insights to help shape working-capital underwriting and pricing.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of quota-carrying closing experience selling credit, lending, or capital products at a fintech lender, bank business/commercial lending group, or similar working-capital provider.
  • Track record of closing deals with businesses generating meaningful revenue, ideally $20M+ and into the tens or hundreds of millions, in ecommerce or adjacent industries.
  • Strong understanding of credit fundamentals, including cash flow, underwriting considerations, and deal structuring.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles requiring internal alignment with underwriting, credit committees, and leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-source pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, and relationship-building.
  • Genuine curiosity about how growing businesses operate financially and enthusiasm for solving their capital needs.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with MEDDICC or a similar sales methodology.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Total rewards include base salary, equity through stock options or RSUs, and benefits.
  • Target base salary for US employees in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $169,900-$212,400 USD.
  • Target base salary for US employees outside of New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $153,000-$191,200 USD.
  • Offers consider experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity.
