Responsibilities
- Own Money systems and services that govern usage of all Databricks products and offerings.
- Improve engineering and infrastructure efficiency, reliability, accuracy, and response times, including CI/CD processes, test frameworks, data quality assurance, end-to-end reconciliation, and anomaly detection.
- Collaborate with platform and product teams to develop and implement innovative infrastructure that scales to meet evolving needs.
- Provide leadership in long-term vision and requirements development for Databricks products in partnership with engineering teams.
- Represent Databricks at academic and industrial conferences and events.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- 12+ years of production-level experience in Java, Scala, C++, or a similar language.
- Comfortable working toward a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.
- Proven track record architecting, developing, deploying, and operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with software security and systems that handle sensitive data.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to lead across functional and organizational boundaries.
- Proactive approach and passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
