Responsibilities
- Architect the Digital Strategy: Define the overarching vision for Cloudflare’s corporate digital channels, ensuring our voice is distinct, authoritative, and deeply understood by tech-savvy audiences and enterprise buyers alike.
- Elevate Executive Positioning: Partner directly with our executive leadership team to shape and scale their personal digital brands, turning complex industry trends into compelling online narratives.
- Drive Multi-Channel Storytelling: Manage our corporate social media channels (X/Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) while expanding our strategic footprint into emerging platforms and technical communities.
- Bridge Tech and Culture: Translate highly complex technical milestones—from network infrastructure to post-quantum cryptography—into creative, engaging, and accessible digital content.
- Crisis & Rapid Response: Act as a critical node in our crisis management engine. When internet-scale events happen, you will ensure our digital response is swift, transparent, accurate, and aligned with our core values.
- Data-Driven Optimization: Establish robust measurement frameworks to track brand sentiment, share of voice, and engagement, continuously iterating our strategy based on hard data.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, digital strategy, or brand journalism, with at least 4+ years leading high-performing digital or social teams in the B2B tech or SaaS space.
- Deep Tech Literacy: Able to hold your own with engineers and product managers. Understand how the Internet works and can explain the "why" behind cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity.
- Platform Fluent: Know the algorithms, subcultures, and unwritten rules of LinkedIn, X, Reddit, YouTube, and Threads. Know what builds authentic engagement.
- Exceptional Judgment: Flawless editorial compass for trends, serious topics, and sensitive geopolitical or cybersecurity issues.
- Collaborative Leadership: Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams, from Legal and Product to Policy and Investor Relations.

- Background in tech journalism or have managed communications for an open-source project.
- Active participant in the tech ecosystem (portfolio, blog, or digital projects).
