Forward Deployed Engineer
Owns customer engagements from initial solutioning and demonstrations through implementation, launch, and account expansion. The role combines technical API and coding fluency with product judgment, executive communication, and end-to-end customer ownership.

Responsibilities
Pre-Sale: Solutioning & Vision
- Run demos and visit customer sites to understand how they work.
- Translate customer needs into a clear architecture and proof of concept supporting a signed contract.
- Identify poor trajectories early and position the platform as the customer's AI operating system.
Implementation & Launch
- Own the customer launch and drive satisfaction and expansion readiness.
- Create the implementation plan and manage deliverables across product, engineering, and sales.
- Roll out the platform in person with key users.
Growth & Expansion
- Grow accounts from initial rollout through substantial expansion.
- Run QBRs with the business development owner.
- Monitor adoption and identify expansion opportunities.
Additional Responsibilities
- Bring customer feedback to product and engineering teams, or implement solutions directly to accelerate iteration.
- Champion new product areas and train internal teams to become product experts.
- Build bespoke demos and MVPs when customers need capabilities not yet available.
Requirements
- Versatile experience across engineering, product, and go-to-market functions.
- Ability to read code, reason about APIs, and lead executive conversations.
- Customer-obsessed, entrepreneurial, and founder-level ownership mentality.
- Highly curious and motivated to learn and innovate.
- Working fluency in Python or TypeScript.
- Comfort with modern API design.
- Track record presenting to senior stakeholders or leading onsite workshops.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in fintech, trading systems, or enterprise SaaS.
- Experience owning customer relationships end-to-end.
- Background in deployment strategy, forward-deployed engineering, product management, investment banking, or management consulting.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $200K to $300K.
- Equity with an aggressive initial grant and annual performance-based bonuses.
