Marketing Lead
Leads positioning, launches, campaigns, and distribution for AngelList’s private-market businesses. This hands-on player-coach role requires substantial B2B marketing experience, strong writing and commercial judgment, and the ability to market sophisticated financial products to targeted buyers.

Responsibilities
- Develop positioning and messaging for AngelList and its businesses, making sophisticated financial products clear and compelling.
- Lead product and company launches, including narrative, enablement, content, distribution, and measurement.
- Turn customer outcomes, institutional logos, migration results, product advantages, and market data into persuasive buying materials.
- Convert proprietary data and in-house expertise into useful, opinionated content for GPs and LPs.
- Build and test distribution programs across content, customer networks, events, search, partnerships, and other channels.
- Partner with Sales to understand wins, losses, and messaging gaps; build marketing and enablement to improve outcomes.
- Establish a consistent shipping rhythm, measure market response, and reinvest in effective programs.
- Manage a growth marketer and external contractors across SEO, production, and creative; expand the marketing function as needed.
Requirements
- Exceptional product marketing and writing ability, with experience simplifying complex businesses and products.
- Substantial experience in product, growth, or integrated B2B marketing, including end-to-end positioning, launches, and campaigns.
- Experience managing marketers or external partners while continuing to produce important work hands-on.
- Experience marketing to sophisticated B2B buyers such as funds, finance teams, or CFOs.
- Strong understanding of both narrative development and distribution.
- Commercial instincts and focus on customer behavior, qualified opportunities, revenue, assets, or transaction volume.
- Ability to create direction in ambiguous situations and build credibility quickly with customers, sales, product, and operations teams.
- Disciplined use of data and realistic attribution judgment.
- High standards, speed, and a preference for excellent hands-on work over managing a large organization.
