Responsibilities
- Explore, shape, and develop new product experiences alongside Design and Product partners, from ideation through implementation at scale.
- Lead investments in technical capabilities that enable product innovation.
- Collaborate with engineers to plan and sequence feature and capability delivery, making trade-offs, communicating plans, and celebrating launches.
- Partner with peer engineering teams to integrate features across product areas.
- Strengthen partnerships with Engineering, Design, and Product stakeholders to turn ambitious concepts into product experiences.
- Recruit and develop engineering talent through meaningful one-on-ones and tailored career development plans.
- Foster an inclusive culture that encourages collaboration, technical excellence, innovation, calculated risk-taking, and product thinking.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering management experience.
- 9+ years of relevant software development industry experience in a fast-paced technology environment.
- Deep expertise in backend systems and complex data modeling for large-scale consumer applications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- End-to-end, product-oriented mindset that transcends team boundaries.
- Strong judgment when balancing short-term business needs with long-term technical quality.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to find common ground across teams with conflicting goals and priorities.
Compensation and Benefits
- United Kingdom annual base pay range: £120,000–£150,000 GBP.
- The role may be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
- Base pay depends on factors including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
