Staff Editor
Staff Editor builds editorial infrastructure, edits investor communications and executive materials, develops style guides and workflows, and coaches staff on clear writing while contributing to AI writing tools at a leading AI finance firm.

Responsibilities
- Edit investor letters, client updates, presentations, and other external communications produced by investor relations and business development teams.
- Partner with executive leadership to develop talking points, all-hands presentations, and firmwide communications; learn each leader's voice and produce drafts that require only modest revision.
- Develop and maintain Voleon's house style, including style guidelines, documentation practices, and standards tailored to investor communications, recruiting materials, and internal documents.
- Establish and streamline editorial workflows for drafting, revising, and approving documents.
- Lead writing clinics and coach staff to build the firm's capacity for clear, purposeful writing over time.
- Develop guidance that empowers staff to self-certify their documents, reducing editorial bottlenecks without sacrificing quality.
- Contribute to the development of AI-assisted writing and editing tools.
Requirements
- Significant editing experience with formal, analytical, or investor-facing writing.
- Demonstrated ability to write and edit with clear sense of purpose and audience.
- Exceptional command of grammar, style, structure, and tone.
- Experience developing or managing style guides, documentation practices, and editorial standards.
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills, including the ability to explain editorial decisions to authors who know their subject and have strong views about how to express it.
- Familiarity with investment concepts or financial services or a willingness to learn.
