Sales Engineer, Enterprise
Partner with Account Executives and prospects as a technical advisor to own the technical sales cycle for Hex's collaborative analytics platform, including discovery, demos, POCs, deployment, and roadmap feedback. Requires 5+ years pre-sales experience with enterprise customers and familiarity with data science tooling.

What you will do
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to data teams & C-level executives (Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, CIOs, AI deployment leads) and build strong relationships to help them get the most out of Hex during their evaluations
- Own the technical sales cycle and work with Hex end users throughout the Sales cycle: discovery, product demos, proofs of concept & initial deployment
- Partner closely with Account Executives to develop opportunity-level strategy, execute evaluations, and share feedback to improve your partnership
- Inform the product roadmap by synthesizing product feedback from prospects to share with internal Engineering & Product teams
- Project manage the architecture, security, and technical reviews that prospects require
- Develop content to support users who are a part of evaluations i.e. demo projects, documentation, videos, etc.
- As needed, travel to customer on-sites and marketing events to deliver demos and build strong customer relationships
Who you might be
- 5+ years experience in a technical Pre-Sales role
- Experience working with Enterprise customers with over 2500 employees
- Experience with POC/Technical Sales Motions/Deployment Engineering to land new logos
- Familiarity with data science tooling and workflows, including Python, SQL, and BI tools (Bonus points if you have spent lots of time in notebooks, SQL IDEs, or semantic modeling tools)
- A strong track record of talking to customers - from IC users to senior stakeholders - and solving their problems
- You're an excellent communicator who builds empathy, shares feedback, and grows successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- A generalist technical skillset: you don't need a CS degree, but should have a passion and interest for technology and be a creative problem solver
- Experience or interest in working in an early-stage startup environment
Compensation
The OTE (base + variable) range for this role is: $210,000 - $265,000
