Responsibilities
- Build and ship Page Builder features that help customers design and publish their sites.
- Develop across the stack with React, TypeScript, and Ruby on Rails.
- Partner with product and design to translate specifications into polished, user-friendly experiences.
- Improve the builder/editor architecture and publishing pipeline for reliability, extensibility, and performance.
- Own projects end-to-end, from technical design through implementation, testing, rollout, and iteration.
- Review pull requests and contribute to engineering quality and continuous improvement.
- Communicate clearly and proactively in an async-first environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and scaling SaaS products.
- Deep experience with Ruby on Rails and strong proficiency with React and TypeScript.
- Product mindset with attention to user experience and customer needs.
- Experience building complex, stateful user interfaces such as editors, builders, or design tools, and/or the systems behind them.
- Strong architectural judgment and a high bar for quality balanced with pragmatism.
- Comfort using AI tools in the development workflow.
- Excellent async communication and collaboration skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills at CEFR C2 level or equivalent.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with site builders, page editors, or CMS platforms.
- Experience with rich-text editing, drag-and-drop interactions, component systems, or design tooling.
- Familiarity with web performance, caching strategies, and scaling high-traffic rendering and publishing systems.
- Experience at an early-stage or growth-stage startup.
- Contributions to open-source projects or developer communities.
