Principal Software Engineer - PAM
Leads the design and delivery of scalable, cloud-based Privileged Access Management products as a staff-level full-stack engineer. The role requires 9+ years of programming experience, strong backend and frontend expertise, and experience with security, databases, AWS, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities
- Leverage AI pair-programming tools and LLMs, including GitHub Copilot and Anthropic Claude, to accelerate development while maintaining code quality.
- Design, develop, and deliver cloud-based Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
- Build and maintain end-to-end features using modern JavaScript and cloud-native backend technologies.
- Lead technical design for key initiatives, emphasizing quality, scalability, and maintainability.
- Build reusable, performant UI components for a no-code builder experience.
- Drive evaluation, development, and rollout of new features and shared platform components.
- Conduct design and code reviews covering scalability, redundancy, and multi-tenancy.
- Write comprehensive unit and functional tests.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and fix owned services and frameworks.
- Evaluate system performance and resolve bottlenecks.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Collaborate with architects, QA, product, security, and operations engineers.
Requirements
- Extensive experience developing cloud-based software security products and architecting, implementing, tuning, and debugging large enterprise cloud deployments.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent; master's degree preferred.
- 9+ years of programming experience in a modern language such as Go, Java, or C++, particularly for backend services; Go preferred.
- Experience with modern frontend JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- 8+ years of experience with PostgreSQL or equivalent relational databases.
- Demonstrated experience with REST and its fundamentals.
- Experience with AWS, Redis, Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, Kinesis, Kafka, and Docker.
- Knowledge of network security, authentication, and authorization.
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms and established software engineering principles.
- Familiarity with Agile software development.

- Previous experience at a security firm.
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
