Director of Messaging Operations
Leads the operational engine for lifecycle messaging across campaign execution, deliverability, automation, governance, and multiple channels. Requires 8+ years in marketing or CRM operations and 3+ years developing and leading teams, with deep CRM platform expertise.

Responsibilities
- Own the Messaging Operations engine and set strategy across campaign execution, channel health, deliverability, automation, and the messaging platform layer.
- Define and track operational metrics including throughput, quality, speed to launch, deliverability, and channel health.
- Own the end-to-end process from intake through build, QA, deployment, and launch standards.
- Drive the automation and AI-agent roadmap, transitioning manual execution toward supervised and governed automated workflows.
- Establish governance for channel standards, deliverability, compliance, and QA for automated and agent-driven sending in a regulated environment.
- Own channel excellence across email, push, in-app, and SMS, including analytics, opt-in/opt-out hygiene, deliverability, benchmarks, and new-channel pilots.
- Build and lead a growing team through an execution lead and channel and platform specialists; set structure, hire talent, establish expectations, and develop leaders.
- Serve as Lifecycle’s primary stakeholder for MarTech platform usage and development, partner with Growth Engineering, and translate lifecycle strategy into live messaging.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in marketing or CRM operations, lifecycle execution, or MarTech.
- 3+ years leading teams, including developing leads or managers.
- Deep experience with engagement and CRM platforms such as Braze, including campaign operations, journey architecture, automation, and underlying technical systems.
- Proven experience establishing channel, deliverability, compliance, and QA governance for high-volume operations.
- Experience scaling manual processes toward automation, with a clear perspective on AI and agent applications in marketing operations.
- Expertise in channel health and deliverability at scale, including sender reputation, inbox placement, fatigue management, and opt-in/opt-out hygiene.
- Strong operational and analytical judgment, with the ability to balance launch speed with safe, compliant sending.
- Ability to align Directors and VPs across Marketing, Engineering, and Product and communicate technical details to varied audiences.

- Experience implementing or scaling an automation or agent layer in a marketing or CRM context.
- Fintech or other regulated-industry experience.
- Experience managing owned-channel volume of millions of sends per week.
Compensation
- Base salary: $211,000–$275,000.
- Eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits.
