Director, Supply Chain Operations

Responsibilities

• Own Systems & Formulary, including SKU and formulary builds, state-by-state routing, configuration validation, and integration health across ordering and partner systems.
• Own Network & Fulfillment Operations, including pharmacy relationships, capacity, pricing, sourcing, onboarding, coverage, order fulfillment, exception resolution, carrier and cold-chain issues, and returns.
• Drive turnaround SLAs and routing outcomes across the fulfillment network while balancing service, quality, and cost.
• Partner daily with Product and Engineering to define requirements and deliver scalable tooling for order triage, status visibility, network management, and formulary configuration.
• Rebuild pharmacy operational processes and workflows spanning Patient Support and credentialing.
• Create documentation and reference infrastructure for SKU composition, temperature and handling requirements, and operational processes.
• Own operational readiness for new products, formulations, service launches, and regulatory changes, including testing, state coverage, SKU build-out, and launch execution.
• Partner with Quality & Compliance on cGMP and state-board audit and inspection readiness.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team across Systems & Formulary and Network & Fulfillment Operations; hire, manage performance, define ownership, and reduce key-person risk.
• Champion automation and technology that streamline workflows and improve data capture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in operations, fulfillment, systems, or pharmacy operations, including 4+ years leading teams and managing managers or leads.
• Proven people leadership across analytical/systems and operational or vendor-facing teams.
• Experience scaling a high-volume operations or fulfillment function during rapid growth.
• Demonstrated partnership with Product or Engineering on operational tooling, including requirements definition, prioritization, scope tradeoffs, and validation.
• Experience establishing processes, documentation, and repeatable systems in an underdeveloped operating environment.
• Experience owning configuration, routing, or order-flow systems where errors had customer or patient consequences.
• Ability to operate across order-routing, API, and integration environments.
• Vendor and network management experience, including service-level accountability.
• Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication across technical, operational, clinical, and finance audiences.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, flat-structure environment with concurrent priorities.

Nice-to-haves

• 503A compounding pharmacy experience or pharmacy, healthcare, or regulated-industry background, including 503B, PBM, mail-order Rx, or cGMP.
• Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and order-routing or API integration environments.
• Cold-chain or temperature-controlled fulfillment experience.
• Continuous-improvement or Lean background, including Six Sigma or similar.
• Experience preparing regulated operations for audit or inspection readiness.
