About the role

The Role

Abridge is growing rapidly and we're building out the Product Operations and Strategy team to help our product organization scale with excellence. Your time will be split between execution (fixing systems that no longer scale, running cross-functional workstreams end-to-end, keeping the team shipping with speed) and forward-looking strategy (helping product leadership see around corners, forming a point of view on what new bets we should be pursuing). You will flex across both, and the exact split will shift by quarter as the team's needs change. Day-to-day, you’ll be embedded within our Builders org and act as a key operating partner to product leadership, while working closely with cross-functional partners across Partner Experience, Commercial, and Finance.

Reporting into the Senior Manager of Product Operations & Strategy, this is a hands-on, high-impact role for a high-EQ, structured thinker with GSD energy who loves building the operating system of a world-class product org.

This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days weekly in our San Francisco office. Please only apply if you are able to commit to this model and/or willing to relocate to San Francisco.

What You'll Do

Below is a representative sample of current priorities. Expect them to shift quarter to quarter as the team scales.

Execution and process design

  • Identify product development processes that no longer scale and ship better ones in days.
  • Get PMs and builders in front of customers, and close the loop between field signal and roadmap decisions.
  • Design systems that surface key product knowledge and roadmap visibility throughout the org, so we continue to stay in sync as we scale.
  • Reinvent how we hire and cultivate product talent, from redesigning our interview process to sharpening onboarding so new hires ramp to creating user value faster.

Strategy and forward planning

  • Ramp on the thorniest strategic questions product leadership needs answered, drive them to clear recommendations, and implement end-to-end.
  • Translate shifts in the competitive landscape and regulatory environment into roadmap and GTM implications.
  • Develop points of view on new bets and adjacent markets the company should be running at next.

Builder velocity and AI enablement

  • Shape and measure the program that holds engineering and product teams accountable for real AI adoption. Treat every new AI tool as a chance to compound builder velocity.
  • Host clinician and builder hackathons that strengthen our connection to the broader builder and clinician community.
  • Build a shared context layer for the product org that powers our AI tooling and learns in real time, surfacing field insight and customer signal to the people who need it.

What You'll Bring

  • 2+ years in consulting, investment banking, investing or similar roles (startup experience on top of that is a plus)
  • Incredibly AI-pilled. This is a requirement of the role. You use AI tools every day, at work and on the side. You try new tools the week they launch and you build systems yourself (scripts, agents, workflows)
  • Bias to action. High ownership mentality. You would rather ship something imperfect and iterate than over-plan.
  • High EQ and the ability to influence without authority. You earn trust from engineers, PMs, GTM leaders, and executives because you are clear, reliable, and useful.
  • First-principles thinker. You design operating systems that fit the context you're in, not playbooks copied from somewhere else.
  • Numerate. You can present a point of view backed by analysis. You are as comfortable in a spreadsheet as in a stakeholder meeting.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. The mix of execution and strategy will shift quarter by quarter. You are energized by that, not destabilized.
