Chief of Staff

Works directly with the CEO to drive ambiguous strategic and operational priorities across customers, recruiting, finance, legal, and special projects. Requires exceptional judgment, organization, communication, technical curiosity, and execution in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive ambiguous problems from rough ideas to completed outcomes.
  • Keep company priorities moving across teams and prevent important work from falling through the cracks.
  • Manage important customer relationships, including meetings, visits, dinners, follow-ups, gifts, and events.
  • Own company operations such as office operations, vendors, logistics, travel, contracts, and special projects.
  • Support high-priority recruiting processes and help close exceptional candidates.
  • Handle legal and administrative workflows with outside counsel and drive issues to resolution.
  • Translate technical context from engineering into clear communications for customers, candidates, investors, and partners.
  • Identify bottlenecks, fix them, build lightweight systems, or help hire permanent owners.
  • Take on the company’s highest-priority work as needed.

Requirements

  • Extremely high agency, with a bias toward independently solving unclear problems.
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, judgment, and communication skills.
  • Ability to switch between strategic and operational work and drive projects to completion.
  • Scrappy, low-ego approach with minimal unnecessary process.
  • Ability to represent the company effectively with customers, candidates, investors, and partners.
  • Technical curiosity and fluency sufficient to understand an AI infrastructure company and learn from engineers.
  • Discretion and trustworthiness with sensitive information.
  • Experience operating in a fast-moving, early-stage, or highly demanding environment.
  • Ability to learn quickly and execute at a high level.

Work Arrangement

  • Five days per week in person at the San Francisco office.
