Frontend AI Principal Engineer - Cortex Code
Leads the architecture and development of highly polished web experiences for Snowflake’s Cortex Code coding agent. The role requires 15+ years of product UI engineering experience, strong modern web skills, agentic systems expertise, and technical leadership on high-impact customer-facing projects.

Responsibilities
- Design and build exceptional frontend experiences with high polish, creativity, and interaction quality.
- Define the architectural vision for the Cortex Code coding agent platform and maintain consistent design abstractions across the product.
- Develop innovative platform offerings with a global mindset across regional boundaries.
- Collaborate closely with design, product management, and sister teams, including data sharing, cloud infrastructure, and cross-region replication.
- Contribute to product vision and drive team planning.
- Motivate teammates through compelling technical vision, clear communication, and collaborative leadership.
- Build for scale and high performance.
Requirements
- 15+ years of software development experience in product web UI application development, including shipping world-class experiences.
- Experience with agentic systems and/or coding agents.
- Experience with Agentic SDLC, including building and deploying rich experiences with agents.
- Experience contributing to interactive dashboards, visualization platforms, and/or rich data visualization.
- Deep understanding of modern web application architecture, API design patterns, performance, and scale.
- Experience across the software development lifecycle, including analysis and design, APIs, development tools and technologies, release and version control, contemporary testing methodologies, and deployment management.
- Demonstrated technical leadership as an architect or tech lead for high-impact, customer-facing projects.
- Experience with modern web technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, and Node.js.
Nice to Have
- Distributed systems development experience.
- Experience with Electron and VS Code tools or libraries.
