Lead, Engineering
Leads and grows an engineering team building a scalable AI application platform, providing architectural direction and hands-on technical leadership across distributed systems infrastructure. The role requires extensive experience with cloud services, team management, production systems, and high-scale compute or data processing.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Drive the architectural vision for a platform that runs across public clouds, private cloud environments, and on-premise infrastructure.
- Collaborate with product managers, program managers, design, analytics, and partner teams to define, prioritize, and deliver features and platform improvements.
- Plan and execute major features while identifying and escalating delivery risks.
- Own monitoring, operations, and maintenance for systems developed by the team.
- Remove technical obstacles, coordinate dependencies, and support the team’s overall well-being.
- Plan for organizational growth, including engineering resource allocation, hiring, and project assignments.
- Lead feature launches and maintain systems in production.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building distributed systems and/or foundational cloud services at scale.
- Experience with Python, Golang, Java, or Rust.
- 2+ years of experience managing a team of 3+ engineers and providing technical leadership.
- Experience hiring, mentoring, and developing high-performing software engineering teams.
- Experience working with remote teams.
- Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills.
- Strong background in high-scale compute, data processing, or distributed systems.
- Eagerness to learn and a strong technical background.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with AI frameworks and tools.
