Responsibilities
- Hire great engineers to build an outstanding team.
- Support engineers in their career development by providing clear feedback and developing engineering leaders.
- Ensure high technical standards through processes such as architecture reviews and testing, and through a culture of engineering excellence.
- Work with engineering and product leadership to build a long-term roadmap.
- Coordinate execution and collaborate with multiple product teams on platform feature requests.
- Build and operate highly available and scalable platforms serving multiple products across geographic regions and clouds.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience managing teams that build and operate high-volume distributed systems in a SaaS environment.
- 5+ years of experience with distributed systems and building platforms and services that serve multiple product teams and customers.
- Experience scaling engineering teams from 5 to 20+ members.
- Strong hiring and talent-development skills, especially leadership development.
- Ability to create efficient processes that increase velocity and quality.
- Collaborative approach with product management, customer success, and engineering teams.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
