Responsibilities
- Build and lead an exceptional product engineering team, fostering ownership, ambition, and strong execution.
- Raise the bar for Braintrust’s UI across interaction design, performance, reliability, and product polish.
- Own the technical direction of the product and evolve frontend architecture for sophisticated workflows, larger datasets, and a growing customer base.
- Partner with Product and Design to understand users, shape the roadmap, and make key technical decisions.
- Lead delivery of product capabilities including a prompt playground, prompt management and versioning, multiplayer human review, and large-scale LLM analysis.
- Build AI-focused products that support prompt experimentation, versioning, collaborative review, and analysis across large datasets.
Requirements
- Proven experience building, managing, and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
- Track record of recruiting exceptional engineers and developing future leaders.
- Strong product judgment and UI craft, including usability, performance, interaction design, and attention to detail.
- Deep technical expertise in modern web applications and sophisticated, data-intensive products.
- Comfortable with TypeScript, React, SQL, and Next.js.
- Builder’s mindset with the ability to move between organizational strategy and architecture decisions.
- High ownership, bias toward action, and ability to balance speed with quality.
