Senior Director, Applications Engineering

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-year product and engineering roadmap across Finance, HR, and Legal domains.
• Partner with C-suite and executive leaders to redesign operating models and workflows.
• Deliver production-grade AI agents and AI-native workflows that complete multi-step work, manage exceptions, and provide explanations and auditability.
• Establish a product-led operating model with shared ownership of strategy, adoption, reliability, controls, and business impact.
• Define software architecture and engineering standards for AI products, including orchestration, context retrieval, tool integration, safety, compliance, latency, and cost.
• Build reusable AI patterns and modular platforms for deploying agentic capabilities.
• Lead cross-functional product pods accountable for adoption, workflow completion, and measurable value.
• Ensure governance, auditability, SOX controls, data privacy, and security standards.
• Define operational metrics for automation, cycle-time reduction, exception management, and ROI.
• Hire, mentor, and scale product and engineering teams.
• Manage portfolio budgets, vendor strategies, and technology partnerships.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in enterprise technology, product management, or software engineering.
• 5+ years leading multidisciplinary organizations at Director level or above.
• Record of building and scaling software-defined products and AI-native or intelligent workflows in production with measurable business impact.
• Strong grounding in modern AI architectures, including LLM and agent patterns, orchestration, tools, and evaluation.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake.
• First-principles product mindset focused on workflow simplification, rapid prototyping, outcome ownership, and user-centric design.
• Experience building product-led organizations, managing managers, and setting a high talent bar across product, program, engineering, and domain leadership.
• Ability to move from ambiguity to working products, learn from usage, simplify fragmented landscapes, and prioritize based on business value.
• Executive presence and ability to collaborate with C-suite stakeholders.
• Knowledge of compliance, audit, SOX controls, data governance, and responsible AI practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation

• Annual salary: $320,000–$460,000.
