People AI & Automation Engineer
Build AI-powered workflows, agents, integrations, and internal tools that modernize People Operations. The role partners with People, Engineering, and IT to automate processes securely and improve onboarding and employee experiences.

Responsibilities
- Partner with the People & Talent team to identify high-impact AI and automation opportunities across People Operations.
- Build a scalable, AI-first employee onboarding experience.
- Convert manual People workflows into automated, AI-powered systems.
- Build AI agents and workflows that answer questions, gather information, initiate processes, and complete defined actions.
- Integrate AI systems with HRIS, Slack, recruiting, performance, compensation, and other internal systems.
- Build internal tools and interfaces that simplify People processes for employees, managers, and the People team.
- Prototype quickly, test with users, measure results, and iterate.
- Establish human-in-the-loop controls, escalation paths, permissions, and safeguards for sensitive People workflows.
- Partner with Engineering and IT on architecture, security, access controls, and productionizing successful prototypes.
- Measure time savings, employee experience improvements, and People Operations quality and consistency.
Requirements
- Early-career engineering experience with a hands-on approach to building and experimentation.
- Ability to design and build AI-powered workflows, internal tools, and agents.
- Ability to integrate systems through APIs and work with existing internal platforms.
- Ability to collaborate with People, Engineering, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Comfort working in a rapidly changing, AI-first environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HRIS, recruiting, performance, compensation, or other People systems.
- Experience implementing security, access controls, permissions, and human-in-the-loop safeguards.
- Experience prototyping with real users and iterating based on feedback.
