Solutions Architect leading customer implementations and integrations with Rutter's unified API for accounting, commerce, banking, and payments systems. Blend technical depth, product expertise, and strategic advising to guide fintech customers from design through onboarding and expansion; influence product roadmap.

Responsibilities
- Lead customer implementations, solution design, and technical implementation for integrations across accounting, commerce, and banking platforms.
- Act as the voice of the customer: support the product team by influencing feature requests and product roadmap based on customer feedback.
- Guide customers on best practices for API usage, data mapping, and integration architecture to ensure scalable, reliable implementations.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify product gaps, propose enhancements, and shape new capabilities.
- Own the full customer journey, including building out an agentified process to automate customer onboarding and pursue expansion opportunities.
- Develop sample apps, implementation guides, internal documentation, and demo flows to accelerate customer success and internal efficiency.
Requirements
- 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Forward-Deployed Engineer or similar, ideally at a SaaS or API-driven company.
- Preferably experience working with fintech companies.
- Strong technical proficiency with REST APIs, integration design, and developer workflows.
- Excellent communication skills; able to lead technical discussions with engineering teams and explain complex topics to business stakeholders.
- Builder mindset: enjoy creating demos, writing documentation, and solving problems end-to-end.
- Experience in a highly collaborative, adaptable, fast-paced startup environment.
- Must be based in NYC and able to work a hybrid role at our Flatiron, Manhattan office.
- This role is a mix of Pre-Sales and Post-Sales; flexibility with prospects vs. customers is key.

Compensation and Benefits
- On-target earnings of $150,000–$165,000, plus equity.
