General Ledger Accounting Manager
Own global general ledger close activities, intercompany accounting, complex transaction analysis, and process automation for Snowflake’s corporate accounting team. The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong U.S. GAAP and SOX knowledge, and ERP and advanced Excel expertise.

Responsibilities
- Own month-end and quarter-end close procedures for assigned accounting areas, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Evaluate and operationalize complex, non-routine, and bespoke transactions; develop accounting conclusions and scalable processes.
- Partner with Strategic Finance, Engineering, Product, GTM, Revenue Accounting, and Technical Accounting on product offerings, financial analysis, and close activities.
- Manage intercompany activities across legal entities in accordance with intercompany agreements.
- Partner with Legal, Tax, Treasury, and Statutory Reporting on compliant intercompany initiatives and projects.
- Use AI-powered financial tools to automate accounting and intercompany workflows.
- Maintain accounting policies, process documentation, and SOX-compliant internal controls.
- Support audit readiness and additional ad hoc projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Active CPA license highly preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in intercompany accounting, cost accounting, and/or public accounting.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX internal control requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle Fusion.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication, ownership, attention to detail, initiative, and adaptability.
Nice to Have
- SQL experience for data analysis.
- Experience adopting AI-driven products to automate or optimize accounting processes.
Compensation
- Salary range: $136,000–$178,500.
